GATHER FOR YOUTH MINISTRY MEETING IN SILIGURI

The Regional Meeting of Youth Ministry Delegates (YMDs) of South Asia was held at Salesian College, Siliguri, from October 31 to November 4, 2025. The event brought together Youth Ministry Delegates, sector heads, and network leaders from across South Asia for reflection, communion, and collaboration in their shared mission of accompanying the young. Fr. John Christy, the Youth Ministry Delegate of the Chennai Province (INM), and Fr. Don Bosco, Provincial in charge of Youth Ministry for SPCSA, participated actively in the sessions.

The meeting was inaugurated by Fr. Rafael Bejarano, General Councillor for Youth Ministry, who urged delegates to promote unity, develop shared indicators, and create inclusive spaces for marginalized youth. The sessions included Lectio Divina, Eucharistic celebrations, and discussions on pastoral priorities from General Chapter 29, socio-political engagement, and mental health awareness. Presentations by Fr. Joebeth Vivo and Ms. Antonella Sinagoga enriched the dialogue on youth accompaniment and well-being. The gathering concluded with sessions on pastoral research by Fr. Michal Vojtas and cultural visits to Oodlabari and Patibari. The meeting strengthened regional collaboration and renewed commitment to Don Bosco’s mission for the young.
