EDUCATIVE PASTORAL COMMUNITY COUNCIL ANIMATION AT DON BOSCO AYNAVARAM

The Educative Pastoral Community Council (EPCC) of Don Bosco Aynavaram was animated by Fr. John Christy, the Youth Ministry Delegate of the Province of Chennai, on the nature, scope, purpose, and functions of the EPCC. The session aimed to deepen the participants’ understanding of the Salesian educative and pastoral mission, highlighting the importance of collaboration, shared responsibility, and teamwork in realizing Don Bosco’s dream for the young.

The animation brought together Salesians of the local community, along with representatives of teachers, parents, students, Salesian Cooperators, parish council leaders, and youth. The session began with a warm welcome and introduction by Fr. Tamatirutuvam, the Rector, who expressed gratitude for the presence and guidance of the resource person.

Through engaging discussions and practical insights, Fr. John Christy emphasized the need for every member of the EPCC to work with an Oratorian heart and in the spirit of the Preventive System.

Participants gained a clear and practical understanding of the EPCC model envisioned by St. John Bosco and committed themselves to live and apply its principles faithfully and enthusiastically in their respective roles, ensuring a vibrant and united Salesian presence in Aynavaram.
